اخذ تصمیمات پرخطر در نوجوانان به یک نگرانی اصلی برای بهداشت عمومی تبدیل‌شده است و فهم همبسته‌های مؤثر بر این فرایند امکان عملی کردن طرح‌هایی برای پیشگیری را فراهم می‌کند، ازاین‌رو مطالعه‌ی حاضر باهدف بررسی اثر القای خلق مثبت و منفی بر تصمیم‌گیری پرخطر نوجوانان با تعدیلگری سیستم‌های مغزی رفتاری بالا صورت گرفت. ابتدا 327 نوجوان 13-18 سال شهر اصفهان به‌صورت در دسترس انتخاب و از طریق پرسشنامه‌ی سیستم‌های مغزی رفتاری BAS/BIS غربالگری شدند، از میان آن‌ها و براساس نمره‌ی استاندارد دو گروه 24 نفری شامل BAS/BIS و بالا انتخاب شدند، اعضای هر گروه به‌صورت تصادفی به دو زیرگروه 12 نفر تقسیم گشته و از طریق قطعه فیلم‌های هیجانی نیمی در معرض خلق مثبت و نیمی در معرض خلق منفی قرار گرفتند و آزمون خطرپذیری بادکنکی BART و مقیاس عاطفه‌ی مثبت و منفی PANAS را پیش و پس از القای خلق تکمیل کردند. نتایج تجزیه‌وتحلیل داده‌ها با روش تحلیل کوواریانس عاملی تک متغیره نشان داد که بین القای خلق مثبت و منفی بر تصمیم‌گیری پرخطر تفاوت معناداری وجود دارد 0/05≥P و خلق مثبت منجر به افزایش تصمیمات پرخطر می‌شود. همچنین یافته‌ها حاکی از این بود که سیستم‌های مغزی رفتاری به‌عنوان خصایص زیستی شخصیت، اثر القای خلق بر تصمیم‌گیری پرخطر را به‌طور معناداری تعدیل می‌کنند0/05 p. بدین معنا که افراد با سیستم فعال‌ساز رفتاری بالا هنگام مواجه با خلق مثبت فزون‌کنشی بیشتری داشته و نسبت به افراد با سیستم بازداری رفتاری بیشتر درگیر خطر می‌شوند درحالی‌که افراد با سیستم بازداری رفتاری به خلق منفی و نشانه‌های تنبیه حساسیت بیشتری نشان داده و محتاط‌ترند.
